I love this piece. I must commend you, sweetnspice1221, if you are learning this piece in high school, you must be quite the bassoon player! :-) I played that one this last fall for my junior recital at SUU!!

not to offend, but how old are you, niki? the picture's rather fuzzy, so it's hard to tell, but regardless, you play wonderfully. sound a little like sidney bechet =]

Yes I am a bassoon player but I am still in high school. I enjoy playing the bassoon and I would like to play this piece for my upcoming solo so people can begin to take my playing a bit more seriously. How long did you practice this piece?

Hi,
The sound is fine (Yamaha right), the vibrato sometimes a little bizarre but that could be youtube. One the front of interpretation, I think you able to do a lot more, change the colors, the tempo. A good way to understand this music, listening to "le cygne" and also "mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix by Callas". It gives a sense of the melodic line which is very simple pure, the harmonic changes and the rise of the tension with the part with fa mi do

Wow!! Are you bassoonist?
I play scales and arpeggios of every tone everyday.
It's boring but it is very helpful.
