This Washburn mandolin, probably from the 20s, and probably a copy of the Martin, was far from their most expensive, but the sound of this is so lovely and sweet that I don't plan to ever sell it. Not for sale.
Thank you so much for this video!!! My wife picked up a 1920s Washburn mandolin at a garage sale some time back (for $5!) and we both, regretfully, let it sit idle until tonight, when I decided to tune it and play a little. Your mandolin is in great shape, much better than ours, but I was really grateful to find the correct tuning and some camaraderie in the Cloud. :)
You have a wonderful collection. Thank you sharing it. I use it for reference when ever I find a mandolin, and I do whatever is necessary to bring them back to life. There are a lot of mandolins in this East Tennessee area.

I love that sound! Isn't that what they call a 'neapolitan-style' mandolin? Please help me because I don't know! And I want to learn mando.
Great video!
