Google Earth touring + 9 YouTube HD videos pushes the CPU to 100%, but still displays ~30fps. Touring in Google Earth. 10 videos plus GE will lead to dropped frames. The Windows Aero previews are also pretty cool!

Windows 7 Ultimate on a Dell Studio XPS 435T/9000 with an i7 920 @2.67GHz with 12GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260. Windows Experience Index is 5.9 because of the disk (the other values are 7.1-7.5) Monitor are Dell 3008WFP and Dell 2005FPW.

I have only ~4.5Mbps down, so can't stream more than 2 YouTube HD videos.

All YouTube videos are IE (8.0.7600.16385) and Flash (10,0,22,87 ) I tried Chrome and Firefox, but once you get past 4 concurrent HD videos, it gets unstable, and often crashes, particularly when going full screen

Earth runs as demanding as it gets. OpenGL, high anisotropic filtering, high antialiasing, Terrain Quality at highest (slowest). It runs at about 15-30fps on the second monitor. The area is Contra Costa County, which has high resolution terrain and good image data.

This video itself is shot with a Canon SD780.

  • @freebob3 I clearly remember my PC 386SX25 / 4MB RAM / 120MB HDD, with DOS 6.22&WfW 3.11, that was times! And those times it was enough to run Win smooth and fast! Ones I start using FastTracker with huge samples out of my ROLAND JUNO 106, I had to upgrade to 8MB RAM which cost me a fortune!!!!

  • i was hoping that run all of those video streaming and still run with your heavy games i hope it would still get it
