Too bad you sold the Mimic Stone, I find it to be one of the best items in the game, since it can turn itself into a replica of any item you have (with the exception of ultra rare items like Thoehan's Great Sword). By the way, Force Pod = Ancients Stone

Tips for this point in the game:

You can stop those spinny-pointy-thingies in the Iron Ring Gauntlet by placing an item at their base.

I found the Bracers of Mana to be awesome all throughout the game. +25% Mana just means that much more blasting.

In the Bacchanal, there is an item called the Masque of Shadows, which makes you invisible. Best gold you'll ever spend.

If you have both of those when you face the boss of Volcanic world, you can grind for XP by repeatedly hitting it with Sunray.
