This is a patient with conjunctivalchalasis due to poorly adherent redundant conjunciva. This is surgically managed with resection of the excess conj. and replacement with amniotic membrane which is glued in place with fibrin glue. The procedure is done with topical anesthesia. The amniotic membrane is usually overgrown by new conjunctiva that is tight and adherent to the globe without redundancy.

  • There could be another reason for the inflammation.....dry eye, blepharitis, allergy, lid position issue etc. One year after the procedure inflammation related to the procedure should be completely resolved so what you are experiencing is likely related to another issue.

  • I had this surgery (AMT with fibrin glue), now 1 year post surgery even if the wrinkles are gone, my eyes are still VERY inflamed? what went wrong?
