Ideal string action (height from fingerboard to underside of the string) depends on the individual player and style. For bowed classical playing, we recommend 10mm measurement at the end of the fingerboard for the low E string and 6-7mm for the G string.
For Jazz or other lighter plucked styles, the action can be lower, 6mm for the E string and 4mm for the G string.
