  • Super little phono!! Hot Fletcher Vocalion!! NICE!!

  • Actually, Charlie Green died in 1936 not 1931. He made his last recordings in 1932. as a member of Chick Webb's Orchestra. They were backing Louis Armstrong on a record date for Victor. Green solos on "Hobo, You Can't Ride This Train". The trombone soloist on the Henderson record of Fidgety Feet is Jimmy Harrison.

  • @davidglow3 Of course its good. Its fletcher henderson....the real king of swing (sorry BG!)

  • Do you know if Charlie Green played in "Fidgety Feet? It´s an amazing piece.

  • fantastic sound coming from that machine the cresendo sounds superb! have you tried a decca salon sound box on that gramophone the sound would even be better the salon sound boxes are swiss and better than any hmv 5a or 5b

  • take new to me as well! thanks for posting

  • One of the classic early jazz recordings of Louis Armstrong with Fletcher Henderson. This sounds like an alternate take to the version I usually hear on lp. Armstrong's solo is slightly different and the trombone player adds a few notes in one place.
