An exercise in evoking emotion. I'll let you think about what emotion it might be.

The story is deliberately free of all unnecessary context. Who is the traveler? Whence the destination? What is the stone? I'd rather not say. The story started with specific symbols in those roles, but I replaced them with alien objects, so you would recognise only that they had meaning - not what that meaning might be.

Animation was done in AfterEffects, using assets generated in InkScape (and converted from SVG to Illustrator format). Most of the movement was created through sine waves and object hierarchies; phase and frequency were carefully managed to create a ragged, natural feel.
