@MikesMiyu I guess you've never listened to Michangeli or Zimerman then- not that I have heard either of their recordings of rhapsody in blue, haha

C'est aussi la version que je préfère; pas seulement pour Earl Wild: c'est aussi pour la fluidité du jeu des autres instruments.

The only recording better than this is the duo-art piano roll recording with George Gershwin on the piano.

I agree, he's the best !!!

great performance..excellent choice!!

Kick-butt performance, well played! My all-time favorite, though, is the long out-of-print Roger Williams/Robert Page recording on Kapp Records; I wish someone would share that one on YouTube.

No other piano player I've heard do this tune has the precise definition that Earl Wild has. Listen from 14:15 on and you will see each and every note is played on the runs...no back hand up and down the keyboard.......every single key is played. The transfer is superb as to levels and the dynamics shine in this CD-mastered version. Proves the RCA engineers were much better than the medium provided....but has been saved on two-track masters for the day when CDs were born.
