  • the nes defined my childhood, without the nes i believe the gaming industry wouldnt be as strong as it is today

neither would my passion for old gaming consoles.

my opinion on the most defining game would have to be the legend of zelda,

that game would keep my up for nights!

    cool channel i subbed

  • I love the NES becuase its what got me into gaming in the first place when i was a child. It had all the best games in my opinion as it kept me ocupied for hours on end, wereas nowadays games bore me. In my opinion donkey kong nes was allways my favorite game, and i would love to win this contest just to find and play that game again.

  • whatuuup~! what I love about the NES is what I hate about today's games! I hate all this big budget HD marketable product. I want my lo-fi fun back!!! The game to me that defined NES was Turtles2. It was graphically inferior to the arcade version yet was actually a better game for a # of reasons. 1st, chiptuned music, I luv me chiptunes. 2nd, the extra stages were amazing. Last, the game wasnt designed to eat your quarters, you could actually play the game and be skilled enough at it to not die.

  • The NintendoThumb or Nintendinitis defined the NES. The first true gaming injury that regardless of pain experienced, the hardcore would carry on as they toiled through the Videogame Golden era's most challenging titles. Mega Man 2, Metal Gear, Ninja Gaiden, Top Gun, TMNT, Battletoads, Ghosts n Goblins, Double Dragon all resulted in a little bit of pain, but alot of glory.

  • I Love that the NES brought gaming back to the people after the video game crash.

  • Well the thing I love most about the nes was, very oddly, the controller layout. It was so comfortable compared to other designs. Even though it was so simple, just a rectangle ,a D-pad, and a couple of simply placed buttons. But I played Mega Man and Galaga all day on it. And the game that defined the whole console is no doubt The Legend of Zelda. Just one of the best games on the NES that actually suck me in to loving the nes so much.

  • I love the NES is because all those childhood memories I have with it. Whether it was staying up late playing TMNT2 with a friend or jumping on goombas throught the Mushroom Kingdom, it all was pure fun.

Some of the NES games I think define the console are Megaman 2, The Legend of Zelda and Castlevania. I always go back to them every few years to feel like a kid again. They all got some of the greatest music on the system, awesome gameplay and much, much more. They're all timeless classics.

  • Why do I love the NES? It's basically where my gaming age began. Granted most of my first gaming memories were on the SNES, but I had enough exposure to the NES at the same time where I can go back to it like it was my first system. I love everything about the system in a nutshell, so here's to another 25 years!

  • I love the NES because among other reasons it was my first console and served as my jumping off point to eventually building up and learing the complex controls of today's games. The games I feel define the NES experience are the Super Mario Bros games, Excitebike, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, Contra, Gradius, Legend of Zelda, Castlevania, and many of the terrible games that one is bound to pick up due to the cool cover art.
