This is my horse Foster, and here is his full story:
He was raced as a youngster, and wasnt quite fast enough, so he was sold to many different homes. because people said he was crazy,He ended up in the wrong hands, and the people decided that they could just "dispose" of him by locking him in a barn with NO windows and NO food or water for a month... no one knows how he survived. A local rescue lady came to save him... the people who tried to kill him wouldnt even go near him said he was crazy! He was basically a skeleton on legs!!!
Kathy( the local rescue lady) called and told me about him ( I had been looking for a horse for a LONG time but never found the right one!), and I went to go see him the next day.
A girl that worked at the rescue centre showed me him, he was standing in the arena looking very sad and lonely... I thought Oh, no he is a pony... because his back was so swayed that thats wht he looked like.
The girl walked into the arena and tried catching him it took her 10 mins...!
When he got closer I looked at him and he had poo stuck all up his legs and belly!!! The girl braught him in and tacked him up without even brushing him!!!!!!!!
The girl jumped on him trotted around and asked for the canter( which was more of a gallop)
Than I got on him and he was bumpy and quick and I was thinking "idk...."
But when I got off and untacked him, I looked into his eyes... and i just knew! I needed him and he needed me! I fell in love.
He came home 2 days later!
It took two long months to get the poo from under his belly and legs and ALOT of training and we went to our first show, which was way too early, he wasnt ready and I shouldnt have taken him. WE didnt do very well... kinda galloped around and it was terrible. It was my first show EVER!
I will never forget rushing him into that , and i will never forgive myself.
But this year we will be ready, we will have a great coach and we will win! and we will show everyone what rescue horses are all about!
I love you Foster, Forever! :)
thanks :)
