@Zeppelinschaffner22 Very civil of you to ask. Noise reduction is basically a pain to get right, and it messing with the sound. Some people hear it more than others for some reason.

I don't have any trouble understanding him, so I'm not bothered by it... Maybe if he sounded weird in person I might notice more... Internet community can be a bit uptight at times. Thanks for the video Sagelike 1.

@SagelikeOne It isn't just noise reduction. I'd check filtering levels as well - you're coming through more "robotic" than anything.

Software such as Sony Vegas, WavePad (if you want a free one), etc has many tools available to both apply noise cancelling techniques as well as provide proper sound filters so you come through sounding crisp.

Should help tremendously. Vegas has a steeper learning curve but is capable of 20,000x better results than WavePad, but I believe WavePad would suffice.

I mean, my brother has an awesome headset for a few bucks wich sounds great on Skype, but when he records stuff with it it sounds like he's trapped in a well or something.
