This was odd to ride up on. We where headed up hwy 33 May 28th 2011 Just north of Ojai,Ca and road up on this Jeep out of control. Turns out his rear axle locked up. Both him and his wife where ok

That's a good reason to fix that bad axle seal and to not ignore the howling and grinding noises from the back of your Jeep!

That could've got ugly. If the jeep was travelling faster than it was, there could've been a greater potential to roll. Glad nobody was hurt. Looks like a mechanical malfunction.
