The San Gabriel Valley Football Officials Association is seeking new officials, with or without experience. The SGVFOA is a non-profit organization comprised of over 70 officials serving nearly 30 high schools in Los Angeles County, California.
We provide a comprehensive training program for all officials, including first year officials. Regular Tuesday night meetings begin September 4, 2008. First year officials study in their own classroom with veteran instructors.
Whether you played football in high school or college, or you just enjoy watching football on TV, becoming a "referee" is the ultimate way to be active in the game and in your community, earn some extra money, and get some exercise. All the officials you see on TV got their starts working youth and high school football, including San Gabriel's own #99, Tony Corrente, referee of Super Bowl XLI.
It's not too late to join and become a "ref" for this football season!
