Throughout this webinar we explore the different programs specifically geared towards older adults and discover some unique obstacles that face this unique population. We'll also have a special guest, Lura Barber from the National Council on Aging. Lura is the Senior Policy Analyst at the National Center for Benefits Outreach and Enrollment at NCOA, and is responsible for leading NCOA's work to expand SNAP access to vulnerable and low-income older Americans.
The National Council on Aging (NCOA), founded in 1950, is a nonprofit service and advocacy organization headquartered in Washington, DC. NCOA serves as a national voice for older Americans—especially those who are vulnerable and disadvantaged—and the community organizations that serve them. NCOA works with thousands of organizations across the country to help seniors find jobs and benefits, improve their health, live independently, and remain active in their communities.
