this video clearly shows that you can do that

and clearly shows that a 1 to 1 transformer can output more voltage then you put in

@zackthegoth just cut it at the weld....unasemble....then reasemble.....you can use 2 primarys from 2 transformers.........makes a nice isolation transformer

so how did you get two primary coils in the same transformer?  did you unwind and rewind the whole thing or did you pull all the laminations apart.
