Rep Buchanan Demands Balanced Budget Amendment

Congressman Vern Buchanan (FL-13) takes to the House Floor to discuss Washington's addiction to spending and the need to restore fiscal sanity in Congress.

While on the floor, Buchanan urged Congress to pass the Buchanan Balanced Budget Amendment, which was the first bill he introduced when he arrived in Congress.

I agree wholeheartedly with balance budget. I also feel that we need a 2 term limit for Congress. This would get fresh ideas going to Washington, and not the same old, same old that is going on now.

Congressional members do not care what we think no matter what we say or how loudly we say it. The only thing they will pay attention to is MONEY. MONEY SPEAKS. If enough people stopped paying the income tax for one month, the government would get our attention. Does anybody have the guts to put their money where their mouth is?
