wild cockatoos at Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney. One of them took an interest in my shoe, and then a greater interest in the hairs on my leg.

I've never seen a place like that where they can roam around like that, cool stuff.

  • These are wild birds. This is not a zoo. It is the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney.

  • No I didn't offer it anything. Minding my own business taking photos and I felt a tap on my leg.

  • Are they wild ones?

If you pause at 0:26, you'll see that he's been foraging (tip of the beak is dark, the rest a powdery gray) - Liver disease due to a fatty diet can also cause loss of powder down

    I'd rather believe it's not PBFD :(

  • see how shiney his beak was and how there is no powder coating it.... he has beak and feather in early stages :S

  • wow that's like $10,000 worth of wild birds there
