Very nice, I like the idea very much, and went to the web site for a look. While it is a wonderful idea, the price, to me is prohibitive. For the smallest model, its 120K...and that is just not a rational expenditure for the output. a solar array, controller and storage for similar output is only @25k. Why is it so expensive?
@cloud4521 Another expert - the Betz Rule applies to open non shrouded turbines in free stream and does NOT apply to shrouded turbines or turbines in restricted flow.
Yes they are operating under license and commercial in confidence.
Are there actually any of these turbines in operation. If so why can't I find a video of one that is in operation and not testing. Also is the turbine 61% efficient? That defies the Betz Limit of 59.3%
