Helmet Cam footage from Cairngorm, taken using a Go-Pro Hero camera.

This is taken from the Ptarmigan Restaurant to the Day Lodge, a vertical drop of approx 450m (1500ft).

It follows the green run all the way down, taking in the Traverse, Coire Cas, Zig Zags, Lower Slope and Slot pistes. It finishes at the bottom of the Fiacaill Ridge tow.

Brilliant weather and not to busy (a weekday), this was my last days skiing of an excellent season (09/10).

Taken on Mon 8th March 2010, skiing on Fischer Watea 78's

  • that looks such a nice slope and im hopefully going there in december

  • @gb924life Yeh, it's an excellent run, definitely my favourite in Scotland. Good vertical (in Scottish terms), and plenty variety on the way down. You'll love it :-)

Hope you have a good time when you visit. Getting plenty of snow the now, so hopefully it'll last and then you'll be blessed with nice weather for your day at Cairngorm!

  • Excellent video mate.

  • @agentgooner007 Cheers. I can arguably say that this is my favourite run in Scotland. I've not ventured off-piste yet right enough, but this run has plenty opportunity for a bit of schuss, as well as some nice turns. It's a long run as well, in Scottish terms!
