I was born in colorado. My mom also died in 2001 of breast cancer, I was 13. She would sing this song to me all the time. I miss her very very much

When I was a child we were in Colorado near the garden of the gods. My mom would sing this song to me, she passed away at 31 in 2001 from breast cancer, I was 12 at the time. When I listen to this song now it means so much to me.

I once (was drunk) put $5 in a hardrock poolhall jukebox, played this song like 20 times in a row(songs were 25 cents a piece at the time & we were booted by the way). I saw an old friend awhile back and he said hey man you have to see what i have. He showed me a cassette of Coast of Colorado he said that day in the 8 ball lounge was something he'd never forget. Fast fwd 25 years... I no longer drink (Praise God!) and I still think Ewing is my favorite alive singer. Keith Whitley being #1.

Awesome performance from Skip at Red Rocks as the previous post indicated. Colorado is truly a magnificent state and KC and Skip together cemented that last night at Red Rocks. It was an amazing show!

OMGosh! Thanks a million, Kenny Chesney, for having Skip on with you tonite at Red Rocks to sing this beautiful song! What a wonderful, wonderful surprise! Have never seen him in person before (had only seen you once in Greeley many summers ago) but I agree with many other posters on here, he has a beautiful voice. Christmas Carol has been one of my fav Christmas songs ever since it came out and I look forward to hearing it every holiday season. A very special nite with my dtr and friends

Every time I hear this song it takes me back to when I had just graduated from high school and had moved to Colorado with my sister and brother-in-law. We were taking a drive in the mountains and this song came on the radio. I thought how lucky am I to be in such beauty.

Skip Ewing is an EPIC songwriter and a superior singer. I hear a lot of him in Ty Herndon's voice... Skip is cool.
