Jay-z was around back when the beastie boys were around.He rapped with Jaz-o and they were know as the Originators.In fact the fast flow they used would later influence the likes of Busta Rhymes Twista Bone thugs crucial conflict and early Eminem.So there you have it Jay-z is Old school.Jaz-o dropped word to the Jaz almost around the same time Beastie Boys dropped License to ill.
