  • Great question!

I personally don't see Congress allowing us to melt copper pennies down unless we force the issue once the United States begins to push the one World Currency.

that's exactly the point of collecting copper pennies and other junk silver coins. in a collapse, it would be readily acceptible because its recognizable AND its legal tender.

by melting it down, you turn into something non-recognizable and non-legal tender. you're not adding to its value but subtracting from it.

"why would you want to melt it. its copper in a recognizable form.

why turn it into an unrecognizable form."

WOW!!! EXCELLENT POINT!!! IT IS IN RECOGNIZABLE FORM AND WE CAN JUST TRADE THEM AS SMALL BARTER.

why would you want to melt it. its copper in a recognizable form.

why turn it into an unrecognizable form.

  • does anyone know if congress is gonna discuss letting us melt the copper pennies??

  • I've done the ping test for a while, but I recently bought a sorter... believe me it was well worth the money. It payed for itself in 1 week.

  • only ones you need to test are 1982, everything before is copper, everything after is zinc...keep up the good work bro

  • You are back up. Long time no see.

  • the ring test isn't the final having a digital scale that measures in grams, oz. and troy oz. is good to have for any metal collector about 10 bucks on Ebay. and you can easily rip through these by color and feel some 1982 pennies were copper also

  • A lot of people are down on collecting copper, but I love to see people thinking long-term and understanding "value" before it becomes obvious to everyone. Good stuff! Lookin' forward to your future vids.
