@kah13176 That's what I was thinking. I don't think he was trying to show us white's best move though, just more of the concept that it can be advantageous to trade off a bad bishop for a good one :)

I'm not the best chess player, so I don't know, but at 5:00, wouldn't it be slightly better to *be* captured, and instead play pawn to H3? That way, black's queen stays pretty holed up behind the pawns.
Further, after black captures your bishop, you could reclaim it with knight E2, preparing to get it into some more active positions?

the very first example was open but then the other two were more closed. I made a vid on open vs closed games that you might want to check out.
