DEATH RIDERS Live at ROCKTOWER-Festival / 11.04.09 Lübeck, MuK, Germany

DEATHRIDERS is the new band of Neil Turbin, who sang on the first ANTHRAX album "Fistful of Metal". And old Sweden a satisfying fistful of Metal there was to eat so that I will soon feel like the unfortunate character on the cover of purported disk. One can only wonder why ANTHRAX has gone through two world class vocalists besides Joey Belladonna (also John Bush). Neil Turbin sounds BETTER than on the screaming classic . Today he sounds rough AND melodic, and at the same time very powerful. "Deathrider", "Armed And Dangerous", "Panic", "Gung Ho", "Metal Thrashing Mad" (Yeah!) and "Death From Above" are only some hits they played along with their own new songs. Very good! Sadly, only a few people witnessed the spectacle for themselves.

Ich hatte es erst heute erfahren: DEATH RIDERS sind die neue Band von Neil Turbin, der auf der ersten ANTHRAX „Fistful Of Metal zu hören ist. Und alten Schweden eine satte Faust voll Metal gibbet in der Tat in die Fresse, sodass ich mich bald fühle wie der unglückliche Typ auf dem Cover besagter Platte. Man kann sich eigentlich nur wundern, warum ANTHRAX gleich ZWEI Weltklassesänger durch den Vollpfosten Joey Belladonna vergrault haben (später ja auch John Bush). Neil Turbin klingt BESSER als auf dem Klassiker, auf dem er ja mehr geschrien hat. Heute schafft er es, rau UND melodisch zu klingen, dabei sehr kraftvoll. „Deathrider, „Armed And Dangerous, „Panic, "Gung-Ho", „Metal Thrashing Mad (Yeah!) oder „Death From Above sind nur einige umjubelte Stationen des Gigs, der auch neues, eigenes Material bietet. Sehr gut! Schade nur, dass sich viele Leute das Spektakel entgehen lassen.
