I just installed a 256GB Crucial C300 SSD in my mid-'09 MacBook Pro (2.66GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, Mac OS 10.6.5 Build 10H562). This computer used to take longer than my late-'09 27" iMac (2.8GHz Core i7 quad-core CPU, 8GB RAM, Mac OS 10.6.5 Build 10H562) to boot, but not any more...check out the video!

  • RIP STEVE JOBS!

  • i just raced my pc with your imac. pc won by a loooooong shot. not the mbp though :(. consider doing some diagnostics considering a pc beat it.

  • omg ofcorse the mac pro is going to start up faster it has an ssd

  • where can i find this song ?

  • how about we get out the core 2 duo E8600 3.33 GHz up there with that slow 2.8 GHz piece of crap?

  • Here is our problem- do both systems have the SAME software suits installed? Also its widely known that laptops that have SSD work off a faster bitrate!

  • I really wish that Apple would come out with a 1TB SSD as an option in the i7. That would be SO wonderful. Guessing it would be about $5gs though. The speed would be breathtaking.
