It has come to my attention that an International Master has posted a couple of very relevant videos for this Trap - with a demonstration of very interesting resources available to both sides.

I am amazed because in one of the ideas, it's as if White does a counter gambit based on the Q-c7 to really get quality pieces.

Nd6+ Bxd6 12. exd6 b5 The one game at chessgames - com in this line - Black wins. Black seems okay here.

GM Jesse Kraai has analysed this trap in a video. He suggests playing Nd5 to counter black's Ng4, which leads to lots of problems for black. If you search here on you tube for Kraai Morra, you will find his video. Congrats on the million and thanks for all the great videos!

In the final position what about 1 Nb5 Qb8 2 h3 ?

@gamegenius4 Yes Stockfish also recommended this as an alternative to g3.

@gamegenius4 After h3, black can play h5 and get an h file attack. I've posted a video on the Siberian Trap tday, showing you this variation.
