Man Stabs Victim With Keys

Chattaroy resident Randy Lee Blalock was arrested Nov. 25 and is currently lodged in Southwest-ern Regional Jail under a $23,100 bond after police say he stabbed a man in the neck with his car keys.

Blalock is charged with malicious assault, destruction of property, public intoxication, obstructing and assault on a police officer.

West Virginia State Police Trooper B.R. Moore and Sgt. J.C. Dotson responded to Chattaroy when 9-1-1 ad-vised the officers about a fight. Dispatch further advised the officers the suspect was allegedly intoxicated, had beaten the victim William Blevins and struck the victims vehicle with his. STAT ambulance transported Blevins to Williamson Mem-orial Hospital before law enforcement arrived.

Moore stated in the criminal complaint that upon arriving they found the defendant leaning against a red Ford Expedition. The officers also observed a white Oldsmobile Delta behind the Ford.
While speaking with Blalock, Moore and Dotson said they detected an odor of alcohol. It was then, Moore said the defendant became hostile and took an aggressive stance towards the officers.

Blalock allegedly pulled away from the officers as they attempted to handcuff him, but they were able to arrest him without further violence.

Moore said he spoke with Bobbie Sisk who told the troopers she witnessed the accused strike the victim several times and that the accused stabbed the victim in the neck with a set of keys.

Police also say the witness told them the defendant allegedly got into the Ford and rammed Blevins vehicle several times.

The officers went to Williamson Memorial and spoke with Blevins. Although he confirmed everything the witness had told the officers, he said he did not wish to pursue charges against the defendant. The officers did observe a puncture wound on the left side of Blevins throat.
