BMWs K1300GT, Hondas ST1300, Kawasakis Concours 14 and Yamahas FJR1300A were our steeds. As you can see, we couldve called this a 1300cc sport-touring battle, but the Connie goes one up on the other three with its ZX-14-based inline Four.

Is using a mill based on a land rocket like the mighty ZX cheating? You may be surprised how it fared against the new K bike.

I have a ST1100, and its a great bike. If I was going o get another bike, I would look at the ST1300.

If the ST's had a cruise control that would be a big plus. My uncle and I rode from Tennessee to Colorado and the Grand Canyon last year. On the two land roads and it the mountains, the ST is in its element. Power, handling, braking, a sport touring loves those roads. On the Interstate though, I think the Gold Wing is the king of the road.

That article is a good and fair one.

I have and love a 2008 C14 i have ridden a ST1300 and i think it is a nice bike too, but since i can get a 08 Connie for 11.5K OTD @@k for the beemer is hard to justify.

besides putting a full exhaust system with a PC V and a BMC air filter nets 160 RWHP, the beemer gets smoked again :)
