TROPHY DASH WINNER, OUTLAW- MALONE POWERS FROM THE REAR

SAN BERNARDINO, California, April 24, 2010 Saturday night racing at Best In The West sponsored by M.C. ERECTORS BANDOLEROS, featured 10 of the fastest short track Bandoleros on the west coast. The M.C. ERECTORS BANDOLEROS opening night event featured a 4 lap Trophy Dash inverted with four of the fastest qualifiers. Starting on pole was Outlaw #24 Ricky Schlick (15.574) of Claremont, CA. Starting outside row 1 was Bandit #48 RJ Stearns, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA (15.568). Inside row 2 was Outlaw #8 Parker Malone, (15.365) of Redlands, CA. Outside row 2 was Bandit #37 Ryan Cansdale, of Laguna Beach, CA with the fastest time of 15.158 seconds. At the green flag drop, Outlaw #8 Parker Malone, made a strong statement to the rest of the drivers by charging from inside row 2 to take the lead and hold on while the fans cheers his Trophy Dash victory with a total time of 1:06.217 and best speed 57.737 mph.
In the 20 lap M.C. ERECTORS BANDOLEROS main race was a show down for the fans in the stands with a battle between the Bandit and the Outlaw. Starting on pole was Bandit #37 Ryan Cansdale (series race 3 winner) on the outside of row 1, Outlaw #8 Parker Malone (series race one and two winner). Coming to the drop of the green flag, #37 Ryan Cansdale shot to the front with a perfect start to take the lead with #8 Parker Malone firing hard on his tail challenging him for the first 4 laps. #37 Ryan Cansdales perfect line in this caution free race to take total control, as he drove away from #8 Parker Malone to a 20 car lead advantage for the dominate victory. Coming in 2nd place was #8 Parker Malone, 3rd place was #36 Mikael Lovas and 4th RJ Stearns and 5th place was #56 Brandon Weaver.
#37 Ryan Cansdale - Parker was fast in the trophy dash, so I tried as hard as I could to lead from the start because my car was handling good, but so was Parkers car.
#8 Parker Malone Everybody here knows the #37 is fast, I thought after winning the dash I could win the main. I guess I have to try harder in the next race. This shootout continues on Saturday, May 15th at Orange Show Speedway.
