This is the Punch counters or Tricks 1 - 11 with the "A"s this was one of the requirements for 1st degree Black Belt. G.M. Peralta quoted us he would rather have 10 techniques you could use rather than 100 you couldn't use. Of course I have improved since 1993. But you can get a idea from the video How we preformed our Trick or Punch Counters ( 1 thru 11 ). We had to perform Tricks -- Grab arts -- Forms and Knife and Clubs.
The Alphabets( Peralta's Alphabets and the ones we received from G.M. Joe Davis = (2 sets of Alphabets )+ All Tricks 1-21A and Grab arts 1-15 +Agustin 16-21Grab arts + 2 man and 3 man attacks were for 2nd -- 5th Degree.

  • Thank you for the comments , at the time of this video no i did not train with the ED Parker group. But I have trained with some of Ed Parkers Black belts in 2001-2007 I have a High Respect for Mr. Parker and his Black Belts. They like the contact just as much as a Kaju Black Belt.

  • why is there a pic of O sensei?

  • @boehmtj

We Shared Space with an Aikido School and also an Ed Parker Kenpo Group. You can see it but on the Right hand side of the school was a Picture of Ed Parker as well.

  • very good skill at brown level, clean / good teacher

  • good job. but im a brown belt in Kajukembo In albuquerque new mexico at melcore chavez dojo and we were told to make more contact than that on eachother. Kajukembo is the best ive been going since i was 3 i am fifteen now.

  • @budfr I agree with your assessment. I've seen 7th degree black belts not being able to execute any of these techniques when they don't know what type of attack is coming. In other words, they need to know that their opponent will Jab or Cross and then they can react with one of these fancy techniques.

  • kajukembo is great, the only thing I don´t like in this video are th unrealistic attacks, nobody throws a punch like that on the street. It´s a traditional karate punch.

  • @burtvickers oh ok cool my friends is doing kajukembo looks cool

  • you have skill! even better than the videos of Gary Forbach at brown belt level only!! Your mooves seem to have a american kenpo flavor .. do you ever pratice Ed Parker kenpo as well?

  • I'm a student of Kempo. Thank you for your demo and posting.
