I think maybe it is okay for his voice in this song but I am not so sure about the entire opera... I mean he is able to sing it... but I think a darker voice is better suited for the role. But who am I, maybe it is the era again of lightening things up a bit....

Actually Florez isn't going to do Rigoletto any more. He cancelled his engagement in Madrid next year and says it is too heavy a role for him and puts a strain on his voice. Wise man. He knows his limitations and stays within them.
