  • I grew up watching this program. It was a VERY important part of my life at home. My Father would sit in his chair and we all would gather around the old floor model tv like ducks. Great memories. thanks Tommy.

  • @Constructionbear41 I share the same memories from when I was a boy and we gathered around Memere & Pepere's TV to watch the Tommy Hunter Show. Then my uncles would grab their own guitars and mom would go on the piano, and pepere would grab his fiddle, if his health allowed him to play, and we'd play some music ourselves for a short time.

  • I saw him this week in St. John's. It was a great show. I posted a video. Look for "Tommy Hunter's Last Tour".

  • My parents are going to see him perform his very last show of his last tour tonight at the Savoy... :-)

  • I am going to see Tommy at the Havelock Jamboree in August. I am hoping to ask him to join the Canadian Country Music Museum, that I am going to establish in the next 2 years. It is a non-profit organization that I hope to set up in Peterborough, Ont.

  • Got'ta luv the Tommy! He literally landed in my back yard when I was a kid! A helicopter landed the next lot over with him aboard! K.O.C. in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

  • @Constructionbear41

same for me, only it was with my Grandpa:)

  • Well, the show went off amazingly well and without a hitch!! My ma-inlaw and I had a most wonderful time and if there was only one request, it would be to see him again!! next april he finishes his farewell tour back east (ottawa or in the maritimes, i can't remember) and on that date he'll be celebrating his 75th birthday!! he's still every bit a showman too!! after he played the fiddle behind his back, he played it under one leg as if he were riding it like a bicycle!! AMAZING SHOW!!

  • does anyone have any clips of Debbie Lori Kaye when she was on this show??
