I am from Morgan City LA in the heart of Cajun country, and while the accents aren't dead on, they are in the ballpark--the movie captures some of what is special about this culture better than most that have gone before

the actors dont have amazing accents.
that isnt how Louisianians speak.

The movie is amazing! It is truly mind blowing! I recommend everyone to see this film. It ha incredible acting and beautiful scenary. The actors have amazing accents. The ending will surprise you! This is definitely one of the best films of 2007!
