Alternative Miss Ireland is a pageant that expands all known definitions of beauty. Inspired by Andrew Logan's Alternative Miss World, AMI grabs the traditions of Daywear, Swimwear and Eveningwear by the heels and drops them head first on to the stage at the Olympia Theatre for one, literally incredible, night. This pageant embraces men, women and anything else you can possibly imagine (and there has been quite a lot of imagining) in spectacular competition for the title 'Queen of Ireland: Alternative Miss Ireland' — an alternative ambassador to represent our culture and patriotic pan-gender emblem for the 21st century.
