Chapter 50
Alyssa's POV
Frankie has just fell asleep between Joe and I, still hugging me. His tears have almost dried on my shirt. I feel utterly depressed for this child. Why did I cause such a scare to him? Did I get eaten by a monster in the closet? Did I die somehow? So many questions run through my head. "Hey, babe." I hear Joe whisper. I look over to him, seeing a concerned look spread along his face. "Hey." I silently smile. He leans close to me and pecks my cheek, avoiding Frankie. "He's so precious when he sleeps." I look down at him, seeing his face calm and soft. "Isn't he?" Joe asks, looking into my eyes. "Almost like another Jonas I know." I blush. Joe blushes along with me, looking away quickly. I suddenly feel Frankie grip tightly onto me, causing me to flinch. "Lyssa?" He asks. I hug him tightly. "I'm here." I kiss his forehead. His eyes open, seeing me look down at him. "I-I had the dream again..." Frankie looks into my eyes nervously. I look down at his pleading expression. "How 'bout we talk about it?" I ask him. Frankie sits up by my side. "Okay..." He says. "So, what was this silly dream about?" I tuck some of his hair behind his ear. "You mostly." He answers. I blink rapidly. "Something happened to me?" I ask. Frankie nods. "What happened?" Frankie ponders, looking for an answer for my question. "Well... First off, there was this man... I don't know why but, he took you away from us and you never came back..."
I wake up in the pitch blackness of the night. Whoa... What the hell happened? All I remember was Frankie telling me his dream and me falling off the bed. "Lyssa?" I hear a voice call from the darkness. "Y-yeah?" I ask. I turn to Joe, laying next to me. "How are you feeling?" Joe asks. I put on a confused face. "Alright? I don't remember what happened though." I feel him pull me close to him, our stomachs touching. "You fainted, baby." Joe kisses my forehead. "Why?" I ask, feeling so disoriented. "Do you remember what Frankie's dream was about?" I think hardly, my eyes wondering around the dark room. I stay silent. "I guess that's a no." I feel limp, resting my head on Joe's bare, smooth chest. "What was it about?" I nervously ask. Joe clears his throat, combing my hair back with his fingertips. "I'm not going to tell you. You'll be better off not knowing, sweetheart." Joe whispers softly. "B-but-Shh..." I feel Joe's finger lay over my lips. "Now you're making me want to know even MORE!-SHH!" Joe puts his full palm over my mouth. I take in a sharp breath of his beautiful human scent, it instantly drawing my fangs through my gums. I scream loud, trying to rip his hand off. "Alyssa, stop!" Joe sharply whispers. "You know Nick and Kevin are in here right?!" I scream louder, kicking too. I tug at his hand, trying to hold my breath. I struggle, gasping for air. "What the-..." The lights quickly flash on, seeing Nick's horrified face look at us, Joe releasing my mouth. I then, put a hand to my mouth, trying to cover up my fangs. I run out of the room, almost tripping over my two bare feet. "Alyssa, wait!" I hear Joe yell, but it's too late. Too, too late. "Alyssa!" I hear a call. I ignore it, calming down and smelling my own skin. It's bland and unappealing to my dire thirst for Joe's blood.
