Ball Handling: Perhaps the biggest area for him in terms of his of becoming an offensive weapon is post play. Has great handles for a big man and plays with great control of the ball from the perimeter. Anthony is comfortable putting the ball on the deck, showing good quickness driving the lane. Possesses great hands will catch just about anything thrown to him. Needs work with his back to the basket play in the paint and refining his post moves, which look very raw and have been little used at the NCAA level. His footwork is choppy and he doesn't get his feet set properly going into moves, instead relying on his size and athleticism to awkwardly shoot over his man as quick as possible, rather than outmaneuvering them. Has a decent turnaround righty jump hook over his left shoulder, but is far from polished. Needs to do a better job of showing patience and not rushing into moves around the basket. Had no problem using shot fakes, the step through and drop step to score in high school, but hesitant to operate in the paint at Kentucky. When faced with double team pressure, he will naturally get hasty with the ball, and that could present problems when he gets doubled in the post moving forward. Gets more touches on the perimeter than he does on the block, usually settling for a jumper instead of facing up to attack the basket.
