The week of August 11, 2009, Remote Area Medical held a free clinic in Los Angeles. Thousands of uninsured and under insured residents were treated. The focus of people living in a large metropolis like Los Angeles, having to rely on a week long free clinic for medical care, has been lost in the political shuffle. The debate between the Private Option and Public Option lobbies have not adequately addressed the needs of millions of Americans without any health care options. This video represents a personal protest in favor of Universal Health Coverage. Please join one of the many organizations that fight for total Health Care Reform today.

I just shake my head when it comes to health care. The world needs to figure this thing out. Getting treatment is not a privilege.

You are more than welcome : )

  • Our system is totally broken. You should definitely receive medical care. I have hope that something will eventually be done to totally overhaul our system. We just have to keep fighting.

I'm hoping that you will get the treatment you need, without having the monetary stress this is causing you to have. Take care.

  • TX Medicaid system only will help me NOW if I get pregnant. To me, I would rather support one person, rather than them and their child they cannot afford. For me to get pregnant would be an act of stupidity/desperation due to lack of health insurance. My severe Narcolepsy with Cataplexy, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Chronic Lymes Disease, and Diabetes, I did NOTHING to contract. Pregnancy, except for cases of Rape/Incest is self-caused. Why only help the pregnant?
