This footage was taken on Christmas Eve in Melbourne Australia 2011 shot using only
an iphone4, this footage shows some spectacular fork lightning that is Pink & Purple in
color, this footage shows lightning from a series of storms that came from just before
and into early Christmas Morning, this lightning footage is from storms that preceded a series
of storms on Christmas Day in Melbourne that had powerful super cell thunderstorms all
day long producing hail the size of lemons and gold balls all over parts of Melbourne, there
where even small tornado's that where produced as a result of these storms, the bureau
of meteorology for Australia even issued a Tornado Warning for Melbourne. This is an incredibly rare and unusual event for Melbourne which does not usually get powerful thunderstorms on this type of magnitude.
