@mid1394 I was just looking for the same song ... I did hear it about 2 to 3 years ago and Huff produced it but I don't know who it was singing it..... !!! Darn....
Great!!! Kinda reminds me of, Somebody Sho have got to go, by Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, old time, waaaayback, Chicago blues. The Mighty Mighty Dells!!!
I'll never forget my 50th birthday my man took me to the carter barron and we were waiting for the show to start to line up and he burst out and sang oh what a night right along with the song on the radio. I was shocked as hell and really didn't realize this man can sing baby i mean singgggggggggggg. People were applauding. It was as though this was staged but no. The Dells as I remember their first song in the sixties my aunt played stay in my corner. wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
@garysgal1 so was there a whole gamble-huff cd? or just this song.? dells are the best and i always hoped they'd hook up with gamble-huff or thom bell
This song was #10 on "The Dells - I Salute You" 40th Anniversary CD in 1992. Yes you're right it should have gotten air time along with several other tunes on that CD. It was produced by Gamble & Huff. Hope that helps.
I wish someone could send me this file of this song it is my favorite i have looked all over this world for this song. no luck. nothing like the dells. Marvin and Mr Carter are awesome.
@mid1394 it's grace little with the dells.

I still say Marvin Jr is Teddy Pendergrass, and Johnny Gill's dad lol.
