Cardinal McCarrick: A Homily for Blessed Basil Moreau

Following the beatification of Rev. Basil Moreau, C.S.C., the founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross http://vocation.nd.edu , in September 2007, Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick, archbishop emeritus of Washington, D.C., presided at a Mass of thanksgiving. The Cardinal, a good friend of Holy Cross and the recipient of an honorary degree from the University of Notre Dame, offered thanks to God for Blessed Father Moreaus model of holiness. The Mass at St. Julian Cathedral in LeMans, France, on Sept. 16, included this homily.
