(HD) How to Remove Decal's / Nameplates Quickly

This is just a quick video of how I remove decals. First I use wire (show here is mig, any thin line will do), then a rubber wheel on a drill, then paint thinner or a wax/silicone remover to take off the rest.

Its fine. Clearcoat is a thermo-setting plastic, once it is cured it's no longer soluble in its solvent (paint thinner).

using two wrenches to hold wire???? try fishing line or floss..... recipe for disaster using those wrenches too

Where can I find these 'rubber wheels'? also are they referred to as 'Caramel wheels' at any time? Thanks.

You didnt heat up the emblems first? Just put the wire behind the emblem and go from there??

@UnderMediKated It's a great Engine! I was almost involved in a purchase of a Dodge Challenger with a 6.1 ltr HEMI. And the engine? Motherfucker...it sounded beastly. People got out of MY way going down the freeway!

The only great Hemi's were the Superbirds and Cuda's and both were bloated pigs that went really fast in a straight line.  Don't get me wrong, I would love to have either, just making a point.

I hate the shitty decals new vehicles have all over them. My 66 Chevelle had real metal/chrome emblems. You pay 50k for a truck that Plastic POS should at least have Stainless emblems.

Used a borrowed high dollar decal removal tool but finally bought an Astro off Amazon for 15$. Works as well.
