  • Rabbits shown are wild feral rabbits. There is also a culture of keeping pet rabbits as companion animals in Australia. Domestic rabbits cannot survive in the wild. Rabbit owners should ensure that their pet rabbits don't escape nor should people dump rabbits rather than taking a responsible approach and surrendering their rabbits to RSPCA or rabbit rescues like the Rabbit Rescue Sanctuary. If a pet rabbit is freed in an urban environment they suffer dog and cat attack, die of thirst or cars.
