great video, I worked at McDonnell Douglas from 89-93 ,, The buildings on the east side of Lake wood Blvd (buildings 80 and 84 are still there, they were built in 1958 specifically for the producion final assy of the DC-8 (also dc-9), All the buildings on the West side of Lakewood Blvd are gone . I live in Long Beach Still

The narrator, Mr. Dependability, must have left the company by the time they came out with the DC10, unfortunately that model largely ruined Douglas' reputation in the civil aviation business.

I got to fly a DC-8 trans-Atlantic in 1972, Boston-Munich, non-stop eastbound, I remember seeing dawn over the coast of France, refueling stop westbound at Shannon, great memories!
