*Read description before installing.*
Before you begin:
Note: This method does not require a magic memory stick. However you MUST have a Pandora Battery.
You may also have to have a SanDisk MagicGate memory card to do the installation. I'm not sure if other brands work.
Hello everyone, this is me Braxton showing you the easiest way to install custom firmware on your PSP. I been doing this method for years and on over 5 PSP's (friend's). Just simply follow the steps and you will catch on.
IMPORTANT:
Before you install CFW, make SURE your motherboard is eligible. Here is the list of eligible ones:

To check your motherboard name, simply do everything in this video until you get on the screen that says like "Install 4.01 M33-2, Shutdown, Reboot" and stuff. Instead of hitting the install button click the Hardware Info button. If your motherboard name is on the compatible list and says its hackable, proceed with installation. They might also add 0's to names too. For example my MB is TA-86 but they list it as TA-086.
Motherboards I personally worked on:
TA-086 (or TA-86)
TA-085 v2
Download Installer:

Download WinRAR to extract it:

Buy a Pandora battery:

The PSP Grader v006 software is included in the Installer Package.
You can buy MagicGate memory sticks online for cheap. Normally $6 for a 1GB one. But i'm sure you can find them cheaper now.
You can buy a 8GB MagicGate memory stick for $21 here:

This custom firmware was not made by me. It was made by dark_alex.
Enjoy!

why do i need a pandora battery if the specks are the same as one of those? I have a Sony psp battery that is 3.6v 1800mAh and I see that Pandora's batteries are EXACTLY the same, so why do I need one? btw, my psp is a 1001 with 5.03 on it, i haven't updated it yet so incase i can just put the program on without the downgrader.

@ward7921 The pandora battery is a modified PSP battery that makes the PSP read ERROR and it will boot into recovery which is CFW installation. They are not the same.

@XxFalling8DeathxX
Yes it should work just fine. M33 can play physical and digital games just fine. You might have to tweak some stuff in recovery but it'll work.
