Sorry, showing my ignorance here, but what's that small mandolin type instrument Neal's playing as well as his fiddle.

Its a flat back mandolin. Just less bulky than the bowl back ones that some people are used to.

Under Fleadh rules, Groups can have up to 20 members. With only 4 available in the age group this year, using secondary instruments was the only way of adding the variety needed.

Incidentally arrangement was by Carmel Burke of Leamington & Leicester Comhaltas Branches. Any youngster in the areas interested in getting involed should look up the branch nearest to them. Neal is from Coventry Branch by the way.
