I guess this question is open to anyone. I like to get artistic with my pumpkin, not so much 3D but interesting things one of them having to do with the look of water, i just want to know how much i need to shave off the pumpkin to the point where the skin is still there but glowing due to the light(I did not want to cut it out, it would look strange). Do i shave it to the point where im almost throgh the pumpkin?

Those are called "clay ribbon loops", also known as "loop tools." I got mine at a local blick's art supply store. Don't bother looking anywhere other than a hardcore art supply store in the sculpting section because you won't find them anywhere else. I drove all over the city trying to find these things but I didn't even know what they were called and kept running into dead ends until I went to blick's...so I hope this helps someone! Nice vid, thanks for sharing your technique.

I'd just like to thank you for adding this video. I watched it (and parts of the others) yesterday before attempting my own 3D jackolantern today. It really helped a lot. Thanks again.

Tools look like tools used for ceramics. So you could look anywhere that sells those kind of art supplies

@mrmagicmint Your best bet would be art supply stores.
