-OMG!!! 8K + VIEWS??!!-

-hides in corner ;_;-

O_o

Might upload better quality one...

Anyway, I started off with the head, quickly drawing in the little details of the male face. I don't shade yet. I draw the hair shape, and leave it alone for then.

I then estimate the proportions of the body as I go, putting in pants so that I don't have to draw in any sick stuff.

I add details of the upper torso (Can't really see it here, bad quality handphone cam...) I draw in the two arms along the way, drawing in his left hand clenched in a fist because it was the fastest type of pose to draw.
And then, I draw in the hairlines and start shading in the body according to instinct. Same for the pants.

Voila!

(If I drew in guidelines, I wouldn't have done it as fast =/)

People who are saying things about me using the graph paper (Actually it was the.. You know, chinese letter papers with all the boxes.) as guidelines: Uh... I didn't use the boxes, really, I don't use them to tell me the proportions of my character, I look at the character from afar and estimate from there, never the boxes. Also, I'm far too lazy to sit down, draw an anatomically correct body, and count all the boxes to whatever so that I can use the boxes to determine my proportions.

UPDATE: This video was crap, Crap I tell ya! I've since improved a lot. And still no guidelines. Unless you count me drawing a little featureless outline of my character guidelines (No, not stick figures, and no, no grids or anythin'...).

  • sorry to be a hater, but learn to draw bro u make us artsists look bad, when I was 13 I wasn't that bad

  • @RyuukiArtsTV @RyuukiArtsTV I think you made a really silly comment. One, this video is 4 years old. I now study realism. Two, it's silly to compare skill level between 13 year olds because at that stage we're more concerned with enjoying ourselves than getting really good. Three, I made artists look bad? If I draw badly I shame only myself, no?

Sorry for sounding confrontational, your comment just rubbed me in a wrong way.

  • I WILL RECORD ANOTHER ATTEMPT OF THIS. This is too painful to watch now. So much to crit on! Shoulders too narrow, wonky proportions, arms are too thick, curves in all the wrong places, face is far too wide, bs "drapery", torso shape is completely wrong.......

In my defense, I was a 13 year old noob ass. xD I'm still a noob ass, just slightly less.

  • incredibly good.. but i can see the guide lines lol

  • ...

    OMG.

    I didn't use guidelines, I swear.

  • @arcturian627 ^ thats what she said LOL

  • Dude, you could of just practice drawing that real fast for like thousands of times, it's not like someone could miraculously draw 4 hair spikes perfectly.

  • Do you mind if you can do it again with better quality? This actually helped me a bit but it would help more if I can actually see what you were doing a bit more. Thanks xD

  • My god, the song :/

    Nice though...but the song :(

  • ^^ People really like to talk mess right? Lol aany ways. ^^ GOOD job, i like it. >.> I think when i was your age i was still drawing stick figures. XD How old are you?

  • i like the hair :) the eyes should be a lil lower though and maybe make the neck a LIL bit longer. but srsly fucking awesome for 3 minutes o.o

  • its ok, but take your time when you do these things and measure, it will come out alot better, it usually takes me an hour or so the draw a character...
