I heard it's a lot better for first time backpackers in Europe to travel alone because you get to see more and do whatever you want without having to worry about what your companion wants to do :p
You'll have more freedom

I'm happy now. I was worried because none of my friends want to pay to do this with me and I'd end up going alone... but if you can do it and have a good time, so can I. Thanks.

No, it actually was a building in London just north of the Millennium bridge on the river Thames. It did however look very much like the Capitol Building. Thanks for your question!

I am going on a trip all around europe in july. what were some places you would reccomend as must see's?

@jw790s -So many different places its tough to say. You will want to do a lot of google.com research and decide for yourself. However, I would consider Paris & Rome an absolute must.

All this brings music to my ears. My trip is few months down the road, December. Is that a good time to go around Europe?

Well anytime, in my opinion, is a great time to visit Europe. In December you won't have to fight the crowds however I would definitely bring a heavy snow/rain jacket. It will be cold especially in the northern countries. Let me know if you have any further questions
