@Emptynaut no the icaros he sings to him to rebild and heal mike in the movie is in fact a song soung by the Shipiboits tribe in the upper amazon. Icaros call on the spirits of ayahuasca. what they are taking is ayahuasca. the north american indians at that time only ingested peyote buy eating the buttons not extracting it in a tea. Very perfect sync to the visual

I think is important to clarify this to avoid misinformation: The drink they are ingesting is made from Peyote cactus (mescaline), NOT Ayahusca, the north american indians did not know this plant since it is original from the Amazonas.

The real life inspiration for this scene came from the directors own personal experiences drinking ayahuasca in Peru.
